Apologies to the list---
I was on deadline, so I "gasp!" deleted the majority of the autonumbering
postings. But don't you know - we decided to use auto-numbering on our
figcaps and tabcaps in our docs. The end result was that I ended up fighting
with FM to deal with both within the same chapter. The numbering scheme restarts
with each chapter. The figures turned out beautifully, until there was a
table, then the numbering went to h*** in a handbasket. I finally rigged something, but I know there is a better way.
If anyone has detailed words of wisdom, please share with me directly (as I'm
sure the list is tired of this recent discussion).
Thanks!
