TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The Twin Cities chapter of the American Society of Indexers invites
interested tech writers, indexers, and wannabes to its fall meeting. Our
topic is indexing courses and instruction. We'll talk about what courses
are good, and who they're good for. We've gathered materials from
several different instructors about several courses, and Diana Witt, who
teaches indexing at St. Catherine's, will be on hand.
If you're considering indexing training, or if you've had some and want
to tell about it, come and join us.
We'll meet on Wednesday. October 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Information
Lab of the College of Saint Catherine in Saint Paul, MN. Park in the
O'Shaughnessy lot and walk across campus to the library. The charge for
the meeting is $3.00.
Please call Maryann Corbett by September 30 if you plan to attend
