CenterView Software, Inc. has a position available for a permanent
technical writer. Located in San Francisco, CA, CenterView offers the
opportunity to become part of an exciting startup company that makes
client/server and Internet development tools.
In this position, you will design, write, and deliver a new documentation
set for our exciting new Internet product. This documentation set
includes a User's Guide, an Installation Guide, and a C++, Java, and
ActiveX API Guide. In addition, you will help develop HTML design
standards and port the documentation set to Web pages.
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
- 3+ years technical writing experience
- experience in documenting conceptual information and/or highly
technical information
- self-starter with the ability to manage several projects
- able to work under tight deadlines
- able to work closely with development
Experience in the following areas is a plus:
- FrameMaker 5.0+
- HTML
- Object-oriented concepts or API experience
- Database concepts
- Project scheduling and project management skills
