TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Discussion of tech writers' salaries has been interesting because I am
studying to become a technical communicator. It has been also useful because
having Japanese background (even though I have been in the United States for
more than five years), I still have a difficult time to practice the concept
of putting a price tag on myself and asking for the amount.
I am wondering whether the salaries for those who can write in more than two
languages are different. If they are, how much? Or if anyone knows a site
where I can get this kind of infromation, please reply to my E-mail address.
