TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The Society for Technical Communication (STC) Annual Conference publishes a proceedings, which I believe can be purchased (contact the STC office for information at 703-522-4114). Many of the regional conferences also publish proceedings, but I don't know how widely available they are to people who didn't attend. I don't know what plans might be to make this type of information available through STC's Web site. It's a worthwhile idea. I have forwarded your message to three people: Peggy Cathcart (STC Assistant to the President for Conferences; Joyce Woods, Co-manager of the Chapter and Regional Conferences Committee; and Binyon Amerson, STC Internet Advisory Committee).

Subject: Re: QUERY RE:"Going Online" workshop
Sorry I can't answer the question below about publication of the STC "Going
Online" workshop, but I'd be interested in getting info from ALL the STC
conferences that I can't get to (which happens, sadly, to be ALL of them).
It would be a great way to share information if they were available through
STC website....Is this possible, STC-ers?

Does anyone know of plans to publish (in any medium) the Proceedings of the
"Going Online" workshop being run by Ann Rockley for the STC South-western
Ontario Chapter (Region 1) ?
