Responsible for planning, organizing, writing, and editing user
documentation and technical documentation (both printed and online)
for commercial software products.
Prerequisites/Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Communication, Technical
Writing, English, or related discipline.
* Minimum of two years of applicable experience.
* Experience developing user and technical documentation for
applications with a graphical user interface.
* FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Acrobat, Win 95, a plus.
* Willing to write to a house style, comply with standards, and use
style guides.
* Experience using the Information Mapping writing method is a plus.
Scope of Responsibility:
Under occasional supervision of technical communication management,
assume responsibility for documentation assignments of significant
scope. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to
determine appropriate actions and approaches. Work well with a variety
of documentation assignments and be able to coordinate multiple tasks
and projects simultaneously. Must work well in a team-oriented
environment.
