Aspect Development, Inc. of Mountain View, CA is looking for a technical writer to join its Documentation Staff. You will be responsible for the Application
Programming documentation for a Component and Supplier Management system
available on UNIX and Windows systems. Though you will be the expert in this
area, you will also have an opportunity to write manuals and online help for
different product areas, as well.
Aspect is a small but growing company with offices throughout the world. Aspect
offers a new technical writer the opportunity to significantly and immediately
affect the documentation set for a growing family of software products. You
will also have an opportunity to help develop the corporate style for paper
manuals and online help.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
o ability to juggle projects
o ability to adjust to product and scheduling changes
o 3+ years experience writing software manuals
o ability to read C and/or C++ or experience writing a C or C++ API manual
o FrameMaker experience
o excellent samples
o experience in UNIX and Windows environments
The following experience will also be helpful:
o RoboHelp
o HTML
o relational databases (esp. Oracle)
o object-oriented applications
