The streaks could be caused by low toner in the printer. I really don't
know what could cause the other problems. I've been using PageMaker for
about 5 years (both version 4 and 5) with no such problems. I don't know
how well the latest version performs, but either you have a faulty
version, or the problem is due to something else on your system.
