Subject:Installing Zip Drives From:Dianne Martin <MartinD -at- TRAVIS -dot- TYC -dot- STATE -dot- TX -dot- US> Date:Wed, 15 Jan 1997 09:33:00 PST
I have had some trouble, but only when installing the Zip drive under Win95.
This was about 8 months ago, so this advise may not be valid now.
Do not follow the Windows install instructions. Instead, we created a
folder called ZIPTOOLS and dumped the contents of the Guest program and
related files (don't have it here to reference the exact files, sorry!) into
it. Then, using SYSEDIT from Win95, we edited the Autoexec.bat to add the
C:\ZIPTOOLS\Guest.exe line. Now, it works fine.
BTW: I use the parallel port drive.
I apologize if I left anything out. Perhaps others are at the system with
the Zip drive and can be more precise. Mine is on my home machine for me
contract jobs and I happen to be at my 'real' day job now.

Has anyone else had problems with Iomega zip drives as far as installing
them?
Thanks.
