TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Considering that "loosening up" is one thing we are usually asked *not* to
do on this newsgroup, I'll have to disagree with both of you.

I agree with Kim. Loosen up people! You must be the kind who start 'holy'
wars.

Gee whiz, someone starting their message with "Hello fellow TechWhirlers"
(or
other
variations) is just a salutation, or rather a casual salutation. I agree
that
this
list is for professional issues, but that doesn't mean we can't be casually
cordial in
our greetings and salutations.
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Just my opinion, balancing on the edge of being off-topic!
