Subject:Sales tax for consulting? From:Yvonne DeGraw <yvonne -at- SILCOM -dot- COM> Date:Sat, 1 Mar 1997 13:31:04 -0800
Do any tech comm consultants out there charge sales tax (particularly in
California)?
I'm doing some subcontract work for an illustrator/marketer. He says that in
California "production" work is (or possibly "was") subject to sales tax
while "design" work is not, and was wondering if I knew how that applies to
Web site design and production.
