D.R. asked for information on "Shockwave". This is a
product that lets you put Macromedia Director files onto
the Internet so they can be used across a Web connection.
The technology itself is neutral; the videos your son may
be accessing need not be. It's worth having a look
yourself. You should be able to get the shockwave plug-in
for your Web browser at Macromedia's Web site, and probably
at the browser's Web site too. Failing that, do a Yahoo
etc. search for "shockwave plug in" (in most search
engines, the quotes are necessary if you want to find the
full phrase rather than pages that contain any of the three
words).
