Find an output bureau that can work with your existing file formats and have them provide you with a high resolution (2000 dpi) master copy.
Or, learn PageMaker! ;-> It really is a great program (IMHO). Perhaps your group would have better luck with it if you weren't trying to get up to speed while under deadline pressure.
