Reporting Structure for Writers in Large Corporations
Subject:Reporting Structure for Writers in Large Corporations From:"Petrick, Emily N" <Emily -dot- N -dot- Petrick -at- JCI -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 11 Mar 1997 12:14:41 -0500
Hi Techwrlers!
I'd appreciate anyone's input on this, especially those writers who
work in large corporate structures:
As a technical writer/communicator, do you report to someone who
specializes in DOCUMENTATION, or do you report to someone who is
responsible for PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT?
AND, how do you feel the reporting structure you work under helps or
hinders the quality of documentation produced?
Thanks! I'll summarize for the list if anyone is interested.
