The project I am currently working on has immediate openings for three
additional contract technical writers. The contract is for approximately
9-12 months (at least through the end of 1997). The jobs entail a
variety of documentation duties including writing reference manuals,
technical manuals, end-user instruction manuals, training materials, and
other project-related documentation.
The project is a corporate accounting transition project involving
creating interfaces from old mainframe systems a new client/server
system. Any experience with client/server technology or corporate
accounting will be helpful.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office is necessary (they fired a
writer who tried to fake this experience). Experience with on-line help
(especially Doc-to-Help) and/or creating training materials will be
helpful.
The job location is Columbia, SC and the salary range is about average
for this area. The contracting agency provides good medical and dental
