Subject:Re[2]: slamming From:"Walker, Arlen P" <Arlen -dot- P -dot- Walker -at- JCI -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 27 Mar 1997 13:34:43 -0500
[After the slam and complaint, the rest of the list will generally
hold back their comments for a little while. Then a couple of brave
souls will offer their opinion, and the remainder of the pack will
generally line up on the side of the person who got the most initial
support. It's all very democratic -- just like the sig line about the
3 lions and a sheep (or whatever) voting on what to have for lunch.]
Interesting, if cynical, view. I have to say that this model doesn't fit
the techwr-l I've experienced. But that was the purpose of the experiment I
proposed: to find out what the "state of slamming" is on this list.
So let's hold off burying the list participants until we can determine the
extent of their illness, OK?
Have fun,
