Remembering this list's recent past thread about Edward Tufte, I thought
some of you in the Boston area might be interested in this. I got the
course brochure in the mail last night.
Edward Tufte is offering his one-day course "Presenting Data and
Information" in Boston on four separate days--June 10, 11, 12 and 13. The
cost is $300 ($150 if you are currently a full-time student) per person.
This fee includes all three of his information design books: Visual Display
of Quantitative Information, Envisioning Information, and Visual
Explanations (his latest). Some of the topics he'll cover are: fundamental
strategies of information design; color and information; complexity and
clarity; multi-media, internet, and www screens; design of computer
interfaces and manuals.
For more information or to register by phone using VISA, MC, or purchase
order, call 800-822-2454 (within Connecticut 203-272-9187) between 9 am to
5 pm eastern time.
(Eric, I'm sorry if this is off-topic.)
