Gee, I wonder if there is an HR-L list whose members refer to the twits
in the tech writing department.

Well, you might amusing find [sic] this thought, but a very simple keyword
check on the Washington Post web site (http://www.washingtonpost.com/)
shows that "leader" and "field" occurred in 12 job postings, while "writer"
occurred in 125.
Oh, we weren't to take you literally? Even with all the calls to avoid
criticizing job posts, you just figured your thought was just too, too
amusing and it had to be shared?
Well, here's what I irritating find [sic]. People who pick apart job
posts. Who cares if they wrote "top performer" or "excellent writing skills"
or "leader in our field"? I wonder if these people sit at their breakfast
table going it shouldn't be "breakfast of champions"; it should be
"champion's breakfast" or is that "champions' breakfast" or maybe "the
first meal of the day for those who excel in their athletic field of
endeavour."

You can't possibly be serious. We can't get a consensus on "author" and
"write" or "is data" or "are data" and you expect to suggest to HR that
they need to write something appropriate for this list?
Good luck.
