Did anybody read Scott Adams' idea (in a Dilbert book) of a company called
"OA5" that stands for "Out At Five"? In this company, there aren't any
lengthy meetings or other things that drain the workday of productive
effort. Instead, everything is geared toward getting everybody out by 5
o'clock, thus motivating and pleasing employees who have dates with sunsets
and soccer games. He goes on with a list of things that OA5 would do
differently than other companies. If you haven't read it yet, it's worth a
read. Better still, get the tape and play it in your cube farm.
