Diane,

Thanks for replying to be about translation. I have several additional
resources for you:

1. _International Technical Communication_, Nancy Hoft, John Wiley & Sons, 1995.
This is a great book that looks at all the considerations necessary for
writing for translation and managing information for international audiences.

2. _Dimensions in International Technical Communication_, edited by Deborah
Andrews, STC Publications, 1996. There is an excellent resource section,
as well as the articles on various topics.

3. _Global Talk_, quarterly publication of the International Technical
Communication SIG of STC (to receive this newsletter, contact the STC
office [stc -at- stc-va -dot- org] and ask to be an ITC SIG member).

4. ITC SIG will soon have a listserver to provide a forum for questions on
handling translations and information for international audiences.

Please contact me directly if you have any questions,

Betsy Maaks
Manager, ITC SIG/STC
