Hmm. I don't like it, either. I have a spiral bound notebook on my desk
that I tried to use to simulate your booklet. The spiral binding
provides a visual and psychological barrier between the two pages. It is
uncomfortable and non-intuitive to read through it. A possible exception
is if the spiral is very small and the same color as the paper. Then it
might be all right.
