The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Speaking of buying books (and we were, weren't we?), I noticed an
invoice
stuck in a book at a major chain when I was shop-looking last evening.
The store paid $45US for three copies of this particular volume. The
price
of this paperback book is $39.95! Such a deal ... for the bookseller,
which discounts only hardcovers.
And speaking of favorite lines, I always only ever (until this list)
heard the "time" line as "If you don't have time to do it right, when
will you have time to do it over?" Makes more sense to me that way.
Don't be afraid to face the music. Someday you might get to lead the
band!
