that you won't be able to jump from topic to topic across the different
projects.

This is not entirely correct. You may attach .rtf, .doc and .hh files
from any RoboHelp project to another, thus allowing the author to create
jumps between projects. The disadvantage, of course, is the size of the
project containing the attached files. However, it is possible to
create jumps "between" projects through this process.
