Only problem is, the pipe has another function; namely, piping data
bidirectionally (as opposed to standard one-way redirection using '>'
and '<') between two applications. In DOS (and Windows, by extension),
you can pipe the output of a command to an included utility called
"more", which has the simple function of pausing the display after each
screen page and placing the prompt '-more-' at the bottom. For
example: "type config.sys|more"
To replace slash/backslash with a pipe is NOT a good solution... :-)
