Mike, I would:

1) Check the company's web site to see if they have any current press
releases available from their site. Study them and then incorporate the
portion(s) of the "human interest" approach you agree with into your press
release, and be prepared to discuss those that you didn't like.

2) Check press releases from other web sites for ideas.
