Thank you for the precise clarity of your response. As the one who started (and
titled) this ridiculously long thread, I continue to be amazed at the
overly-ingenious (as well as dumb) explanations for a word that is NOT that
obscure. Peter Kent, myself, and others have offered concise definitions of the
word for the last week or so--but to little avail.
