Subject:Re: Fw: health THIS IS A *PRANK* From:JIMCHEVAL -at- AOL -dot- COM Date:Mon, 30 Jun 1997 11:31:05 -0400
Sean Wheller just forwarded the same cancer-related chain mail that lots of
other people are forwarding.
This is a prank, similar to a non-Web incident a few years ago when people
were asked to send postcards to a little boy who was supposedly dying of
canver. A friend has checked the American Cancer Society's home page where
they apologize for any misinformation resulting from a similar letter
(different name, told in third person.)
As a general thing, none of us should pass on ANY chain letter without
contacting the person supposed to be the original person involved and
verifying the facts involved. They're almost always some form of prank or
scam.
