Becca Price had questions about organizing help topics.
How about creating a general "Precedence" topic discussing issues common
to both the Where Tab and the Filter and Modify Expression dialog boxes.
From this topic you could have a link to a Where Tab topic and another
link to a topic for the Filter and Modify Expression dialog boxes.
These subsidiary topics could discuss the specific details for that
interface element. I would not add keywords to the subsidiary topics so
that users would be directed to the main overview topic first when they
search (these are called auxiliary topics in Doc-To-Help and popup
topics in RoboHelp, but you don't have to display them in a popup
window). You may want to add a link in each subsidiary topic back to
the main Precedence topic, just in case users wind up in the subsidiary
topic first - that way they would have easy access to all of the
information on precedence.
Hope this helps!
