Since we distribute beta docs on 8 1/2 X 11 paper, officially unbound,
we've determined that placing "beta" in the footer is preventative
maintenance.
In the past we have had beta sites separate the docs for
several people in different departments to read, and we wanted to be
confident that each person understood that this was beta. We haven't
had any problems thus far.
