Subject:Cnvrtng troff to Frame: Need Help From:Beth Brooks <bbrooks -at- LCHOME1 -dot- BEASYS -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 25 Jul 1997 13:08:29 -0400
Hi. My organization has about 5,000 pages of documentation that was authored
in troff using a set of proprietary macros called DocTools. We also have an
SGML version of these files. We need to convert these files to FrameMaker as
quickly and painlessly as possible. The trof2mif filter that Adobe provides
doesn't handle tbl tables or pic files; when we use it, we end up with very
messy files. We do not yet have a DTD and EDD in place to use in converting
the SGML versions of these files. Does anyone out there have any advice they
can offer? Do you know anyone who has faced this sort of problem and might
help us? Do you know of a better filter we might use? Any information would
be appreciated!
Thanks!
Beth Brooks
