Subject:Relative paths in Word From:David Rapport <dave -at- NETMEDIA -dot- NET -dot- IL> Date:Tue, 5 Aug 1997 11:21:21 +0200
I have started using relative paths in Word for inserting graphics into a
document. The advantage of this is that it does not matter what drive you
are on, provided you have, say, a sub-directory called "Figures" you will
always get the pictures in the doc. It's great for distributing
documentation on CD.
Unfortunately relative paths don't always seem to work and I haven't been
able to work out how to get the pictures to appear every time.
Sometimes they appear as they should, sometimes a simple F9 (Update fields)
does the trick, sometimes the only thing to do is to relink.
Can anyone out there help?
Thanks,
David
