Subject:Re: One space or two? From:"Williams, Diane (contractor)" <Williams_Diane -at- DOTE -dot- OSD -dot- MIL> Date:Tue, 19 Aug 1997 11:12:51 -0400
Most folks who use two spaces between sentences say it adds to
readability, but I don't see it at all. No text books or magazines or
newspapers I have seen (that means there are an awful lot I haven't
seen!) use only one space between sentences when using proportional type
and either rag-right or fully justified lines.
I use one space in all my documents as well, because it's soooo easy to
strip all extra spaces out of a document using "Replace." Piece of cake.
And, personally, I don't see the added "readability" in using two
spaces. It's actually become distracting to me.
That's my 2 cents' worth.
