TECHNOLOGY PLANNING ANALYST (Communications Specialist)
Starting salary: low to mid $40s preferred depending on experience

Description:
Coordinate and administer the internal technology planning process, with
involvement in the alignment of technology with business initiatives.
Design, develop and prepare planning documents and related presentations on
the objectives/strategies of application systems plans and technology
products for the company and clients, as well as conduct primary and
secondary research on industry and information systems technology and
trends.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and administer the Line of Business Technology Planning
process.
* Work in team environment with client consulting group.
* Assist client consultants and management in determining goals and
objectives of technology planning effort in meeting company and client
needs.
* Refine technology planning process and develop strategy to ensure that
technology planning goals are met through process.
* Develop project plans and coordinate technology planning activities to
maintain clarity and consistency of effort across Lines of Business.
* Conduct research on business activities/goals/strategies, application
system plans and technology projects. Interview internal managers and
clients, including senior managers within the company. Gather previously
published documents and extract relevant information.
* Conduct research on technology activities of industry competitors.
* Assimilate information from a variety of sources into clear and concise
documents.
* Design, develop and prepare planning documents and related presentations.
* Participate in meetings with senior management.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Communications or equivalent preferred but not
required.
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
* Conceptual thinking ability and good editing skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required; creative
application of computer graphics and design basics a plus.
* Substantial relevant experience required; stable work record highly
desired.
