Subject:1 or 2 spaces after a virus hoax From:Bill Burns <BillDB -at- ILE -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 29 Aug 1997 10:42:24 -0600
Y'know, I'm going through this same repetitive process with our clients.
They ask the same questions; I give the same responses, only to know
that I'll be answering questions on the next project.
It's almost as if all of the threads on TECHWR-L have passed by some
kind of enormous data magnet, and the visible semi-immutable patterns of
email packets are forming like iron filings in some fifth-grade science
experiment. Birth, death, decomposition, rebirth...it all makes sense to
me now.
And now, sluffing off this epiphanic moment, I'll just remind folks that
TECHWR-L has an archive, and it's relatively easy to find and use (like,
see the URL at the bottom of this post). Our list adminsitrator has also
requested that we NOT post email virus warnings (or any virus warnings
for that matter).
Now, if you'll excuse me, there's an email in my inbox with the subject
line Good Times Penpal Greetings from AOL that I'm dying to read, just
after I finish this debate with a cycloptic colleague of mine over the
relative merits of using FrameMaker vs. Word/Mac vs. PC/PDF vs.
HTML/[insert holy war of your choice here].
T minus 5 hours and counting...
Bill Burns
