There is a viewer available from Microsoft's web site that lets you view
Powerpoint for Win95 presentations in Win 3.1, but I'm not sure if it's
available for Powerpoint 97 presentations. However, you lose much of the
multimedia capability... the viewer just can't handle it. So the answer
to this part of the question is probably no. Persuasion (not sure if
it's still an Aldus product) also does this kind of presentation, but I
don't know anything about its Win 3.1 capabilities.
