FrameMaker 5.5 allows you to save documents as PDF files and provides
many PDF conversion options. Most cross references and hypertext links
convert to HTML links. This version of FrameMaker comes with Adobe
Acrobat 3.0 software, which includes Exchange, Acrobat Distiller, and an
utility that converts PostScript languages to PDF.
The upgrade costs about $175.

David and Keith,
I think Adobe has distributed the Acrobat Reader to get us all
hooked on the technology, and has intentionally created it with limited
functionality. The Acrobat Exchange (which costs ~ $400) allows you to
connect to any given page in a PDF document. It's a smart move for
them.
Frame has done the same thing with the FrameReader and
FrameViewer except that the FrameReader cannot be distributed freely as
Acrobat can be. Maybe this will change now that Frame is an Adobe
product.
