Debbie,

You might ask to give a 10-15 minute presentation on technical writing and
documentation at the next company wide meeting. Emphasize the bottom line
(that will get management's attention), the competative edge goods docs give
(that with perk up sales' ears), and methodology (that will make your point).

It can't hurt. It might help. It will certainly set you apart as a "preofessi
onal" to be able to make a coherent presentation about what you do and the
value you add. It might even cause HR to ask you about skills.
