Assistant professor, tenure-track, in technical/professional writing.
We seek an energetic, innovative faculty to join a technical/professional
writing program committed to instruction and research in an electronic
environment.
PhD or equivalent terminal degree and teaching experience are required.
Publications, experience as a professional writer, editor, and/or teacher of
technical writing are desired. We are especially interested in candidates who
know document production software and are prepared to work in electronic text
production, editing, or publications management.
Position is available August 1998 at competitive salary. Teaching assignment
for tenure-track faculty: five courses per year on semester system with some
time for research.
Utah State University is in Logan, a community with a regional population of
75,000 located in a mountain valley 80 miles north of Salt Lake city. The
area has great scenic beauty and a four-season climate with excellent
opportunities for outdoor recreation year round.
