Subject:Re: MS Word: Top 10 do's and don't's?? From:Sunil Gokhale <sunilg -at- PUNE -dot- TCS -dot- CO -dot- IN> Date:Tue, 7 Oct 1997 09:53:27 +0530
1. Avoid excessive usage of bullets. Initially they might appear to
streamline things. If you are working with online help - the bullets have
an alignment problem.
2. Regular flow of text is a better way. Don't repeat the tabular form too
many times. It becomes difficult to manage. If you have more tables, I
recommend, you use TEX or LATEX.
3. Fix the standard fonts and sizes for most of your application. Apart
from the `mark', it would create, it will ease most of the things. You
will concentrate on the text, rather than all the cosmetics.
These are some of the things that come to my mind. It would be nice if you
would make the list of do's and don'ts and post it to the group - it would
be a ready recokener for most.
