Subject:followup: looking for work in Denver From:Anne Halsey <JMH42 -at- AOL -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 20 Oct 1997 23:29:52 -0400
Dear Whirlers:
Just wanted to post a followup to my panicked plea for
job leads in the Denver metro area (posted the first week in
September).
I received a number of leads privately. The excellent news is that
I immediately landed a quick contract which supplemented my
severance pay; less than a week after the contract ended, I landed
a long-term contract at Lucent Technologies.
I'm posting this message for two reasons:
- First, to thank all those who responded with job leads
- Second, to let you all know what a wonderful mechanism
the listserv is to locate a job; and to commend the wonderful
folk who shared leads and also shared stories of similar
experiences
During my three weeks of looking, I created an Excel spreadsheet
to track companies (both "real" companies and consulting firms),
contacts, addresses, names/numbers, email addrs, and websites.
I'd be happy to share with folks in the Denver metro area; if you're
interested, email me privately and I'll send the spreadsheet as
a file attachment.
Thanks again for the help!
Anne Halsey
