James,
You state in your summary:

Is there a way of doing this with a PDF file where the statement only
appears when you print a page of the PDF file and not when you are just
viewing it? I have just started working with PDF files (I issued my
first one just this week) did not think of this ahead of time. Someone
was nice enough to point out this deficiency.
If anyone else has an answer I would appreciate it. Thanks.
