Or, become the membership or employment manager for your local STC chapter
and start a campaign to recruit new STC members or increase the visibility
of STC by calling local employers--using the classifieds to find companies
that are hiring. You'll certainly get a few that say something like, "No, we
don't have any technical writers--but we sure could use one!"
