Proposal Writer/Manager, Price Waterhouse LLP - New York
Individual will be responsible for managing the proposal process and the
proposal development staff for each initiative listed below:
Serve as communications link between partners/client service staff and
marketing resources (researchers, graphic artists, designers, databases)
Establish proposal development schedule and enforce deadlines
Ensure compliance with RFP and internal PW guidelines
Serve as catalyst for creative theming and package design concepts
Prepare proposal delivery plan and coordinate logistics to ensure on-time
delivery
Integrate and edit proposal text to ensure accurate and consistent data,
styles, terminology, etc.
Coordinate retrieval of current resumes and approved citations
Serve as primary author for non-technical sections of proposals and
presentations (e.g. About/Why PW, Executive Summary)
Provide specialized presentations to clients (on a limited basis)
Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors as necessary including
budgeting, expectations, schedules, (including advertising and internet
development firms)
Provide strategic input and direction as required for the technical approach on
proposals and presentations
Coordinate with industry leads to ensure compliance with desired approach to
target clients
Host a formal proposal kick-off meeting for each proposal effort to include
each member of the client service staff, production team, and partners
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Communications, Journalism, English
or Business)
5 years corporate experience
Prior experience developing proposals required
Broad business background and some experience as a technical writer desired
Strong Knowledge of MS Office applications preferred, as well as MS Project and
Pagemaker
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High energy level
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
