Subject:"File corrupted" error in FrameMaker 5.5 / Win95b From:sg <sngotler -at- RUST -dot- NET> Date:Tue, 18 Nov 1997 15:05:56 -0500
In Win95b I cannot open any of the Frame 5.5 files I edited in Win95a. I
get a "File corrupted" error. An associate gets the same error message
with that file on a WinNT machine with Frame 5.5.1.
My apps drive is FAT32 formatted. It has one 3.2 GB partition. My data
drive is FAT16, which I restored from an Iomega Ditto backup tape.
I have spoken with Adobe. They are looking at my files.
I suspect one of the following as the source of the trouble:
- FAT32/FAT16 incompatibility in FrameMaker 5.5
- FrameMaker sensitivity to restored backups
- font changes due to Win95b installation
