If Cheryle Wiese's friend has a template of her own that contains
appropriate style definitions, she can use "File / Templates" to attach
her own template to the doc. Checking "Automatically update doc styles"
will then overwrite styles in the ugly manual with nice styles of the
same name in her own template. Any style names in the doc that aren't
matched in the template will need manual surgery.
