Yikes! I am an admin assistant and tech writer-wanna-be. Admins start
at about $11.50 an hour in Atlanta. (Master's degree in English.) Max
out at $35,000 a year for 5-7 years experience. Tech writer-wanna-bes
start at about $15.00 an hour for entry level editing and $20 for junior
level.
So there's my $.02 worth!
