Let's put this in some sort of perspective
shall we?
This is *just* a listserv list.
Hiring and firing should not be based on
listserv posts. Come on now...
A little perspective folks seems to be
in order if indeed managers
and those in position to hire base their
decisions upon posts they obviously need
to rethink their HR strategies.
If you would like to know more about
HR I have many print and URLs to share
with you privately to get you started on
professional HR techniques.
Because this is an electronic media and
subject to the whims, emotion of the moment,
and other factors seems to me rather
unprofessional and shortsighted. It is
*only* a listserv.
I have taken private and not so private
hits because:
I love the TN Volunteers.
Sorry I have close associations with the
faculty, staff, and students. Great team of
student athletes.
One person did not like my reference posts
that point to MLA, APA, and Chicago
Style Manuals.
Another criticized me for posting URLs
to resume and cover letter sites.
Yet another...
For goodness sakes folks...
Calm, cool, prospective is needed.
If you do not understand the media or
object to getting posts then I have to ask
why do you join a list?
