Gina...I hope I'm not snapping at this posting and being harsher than
necessary. However, my experience has been that when a question is
posted that gets an unusualy low response, it could mean one of several
things...in order of how well the question is received by the
readership.

1) There is no answer to the question (though that hasn't stopped some
people from making up the answer on-the-fly. (Knowledge? I don't need
no steeenking knowledge.)
2) The question needs deeper thought than a quick entry. The responses
may still arrive.
3) The answer would just require too much input and you caught us at a
time when our paying jobs came first (I think this may be the closest
one in this situation...after all, your question wasn't a simple
question...well, maybe the question was, but the right answer is not a
simple answer.)
3) The readers believe that what the person really wants is for the list
to do their job for them.
4) The list sees that the question is really bait to provoke an
emotional response.

Well said. However, there's a #5:

5) The subject has been hauled over several times in recent years.
