Made2Manage Systems, Inc., a leading Indianapolis-based software
developer of manufacturing systems, is looking for a Technical Writer to
join our Documentation Department. The Technical Writer primarily
writes, indexes, edits, codes, debugs, and maintains electronic and
paper documentation. The Technical Writer also contributes to audience
and task analysis, contributes to documentation design, and provides
editing services to other departments.
We're looking for a self-starter who:
* has at least two years' experience writing software documentation
* knows how to gather product information from domain experts, design
documents, and prototypes
* can organize product information into documentation that follows user
work processes
* writes clear, minimal, and accurate task instructions
* has editing, proofreading, and indexing skills
* has good planning and prioritizing skills
* has experience with Microsoft Word and with an online Help authoring
tool such as RoboHELP
* works independently and sees projects through to completion
A background in manufacturing and accounting is helpful.
