RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for writing and editing new software user and training manuals, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing user and technical manuals. Your duties will include writing installation guides and release notes; interviewing software engineers to obtain information to create and update documentation; taking screen captures and integrating them into documentation; estimating and maintaining schedules and following departmental procedures and guidelines to produce quality documentation; and participating in requirements, design, and project meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will have BA/BS (preferably in Computer Science or English) and a minimum of 2-4 years experience writing technical documentation. Candidates must have a proficiency in written communication and correct grammar; the ability to write clear, concise, accurate, task-oriented documentation; and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Experience with Word and WordPerfect for Windows, UNIX, and HTML is a plus.
